Praying for Our Brethren in Christ under Persecution

It is so important for us as the church of God to unite in prayer for our brethren in Christ around the world under persecution for preaching the Gospel. We need to be aware of what is happening to our brothers and sisters in the Lord to stand in the gap for them in prayer, asking the Lord for strengths, love, and faith as 1 Peter 4:12-19 (NIV) says:

"12
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
13 But rejoiceinasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,
“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]
19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good."

As believers in Christ, are we ready to suffer for Jesus Christ?

Amen and amen!

What a powerful post filled great insights! In Ephesians 6:18-20, apostle Paul teaches us to pray for one another. I believe in praying for our brothers who are suffering for the name of Christ. Moreover, I want to encourage each and everyone who read this blog to stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters who are under persecution aroud the world.
May the LORD bless you all!!

Amen Pastor! Indeed we need to pray for our suffering family in Christ. All over the world men and women are being tortured for preaching, teaching, and for professing faith in Jesus Christ. It's time to pray.

Wow, its like I hear each pastor, missionary, believers who lost their life as martyr for the Gospel saying what Paul said in Philippians 1:12-26, but I would like to emphasized the verse 21 that says:

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."

The perpetrators of each believer death probably are thinking they got a victory by killing innocent people just because of their beliefs. But, if they can only know that they are participating in the accomplishment of the Word of God for the ending times. Each of this servant and courageous believers through their physical death have gain their ETERNAL LIFE, in Jesus Christ Name!

My beloved brethren in Christ, we need to remain in prayers and intercession requesting to the Lord and the Holy Spirit within us to help us stand strong and faithful to the Living God. It is essential for us to belief as each of these martyrs, the disciples, Daniel and his friends, Paul, and pastors believed. They were not afraid of those who can kill the body, as Matthew 10 teaches us, but specifically in verse 28:

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

May the Lord bless you!

Amen Pastor Siri! What you are doing is sounding the trumpet for men and women of God to rise up and be fearless! Hallelujah! Fight the good fight of faith in the power given us by the Holy Spirit! "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind." 2 Tim. 1:7

Please pray with me for my Dad, as he transitions from this life to the one where hope springs eternal. Pray for his comfort and his peace. I thank God for his blessed assurance that Jesus is ours, and we are His. Thank you in advance, and thank You Heavenly Father.

Blessing you pastor Emery,

I pray that God straighten each and everyone in the family who has been affected by this separation with Dad.

Be strong and very courageous!
The Lord wants to remember this truth, 1 Thessalonians. 4 : 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Prayer request for a friend that I met name Will. Both of his parents are deaf, he communicates with them through sign language. He is 28 years old, due to circumstances he has been unable to get a GED. His passion is to earn a job as a sign language instructor/interpretator.
